Our favourite part of the multicultural festival
We were so excited all afternoon after catching a glimpse of this. The sun shone as we watched the dance on the playground and learnt a little more about China.

Indonesian weaving
We have found out things about Indonesia this week. We have learnt that this is the only area in the world where Komodo dragons live in the wild. We had a go at weaving after looking at photos of children weaving cloth.

Delicious chips!
Thank you to Neptune, our local fish and chip shop who provided us with free chips. We were looking at food in England as part of our Multicultural week.

Safe chopping
This week we have been using knives to chop food. We have talked about safety and tried the bridge method to keep our fingers safe.

The King’s visit to Lancaster
Today we talked about the King’s visit. We have designed him a new castle.

Potato challenge!
We are very excited to see how much our potato plants have grown. We watered them every day when it was hot and now we are watching the rain water them. We have found out what a plant needs to help it grow strong.

Going on a walk
This week we have heard the story of “Rosie’s Walk.” In Nursery we use the hall each week and this week we linked our movements to how Rosie the hen moved. We love the space to run about.

Growing
Our new topic is all about things that grow. We are learning the rhyme “Mary, Mary, quite contrary.” We used natural materials to make a garden we would like to grow.

Learning outside
We go outside whatever the weather. This week we have been using sticks to make shapes.

Easter
This week we have listened to the Easter story. After looking at pictures of Easter gardens we made a cross using spring flowers.

Experimenting.
We have been scientist. We have found lots of natural materials and been making potions and seeing what happens to them when we mix them all up.
