As part of our graffiti art work we have been looking at the street artist Banksy.  He uses stencils and spray paint to make his images. We designed and created our own stencils based on our initials. This made a ‘tag’ or signature. We then used sponging (Mrs Redmayne wasn’t keen on spray paint!!)…

We drew around our willing volunteer and labelled the part of the body. We even spoke about parts inside our body too e.g. heart, lungs etc. 

Continuing our topic of Brilliant Bodies and Brilliant Brains, we made our faces using natural materials that we found outside. We had great fun designing !

Today we used as many objects as we could find in our classroom to make 100! We had to make 10 groups of 10 to make it very clear and easy to count.  We were very creative in how we presented our 100.

Today, we spent time playing with Reception class. We had lots of toys, books and games and had the chance to talk to all the children. We were then paired up with our buddies and are looking forward to having lots of fun getting to know them this year. 

This week in Reception we have painted our self portraits. We focused on our face details, our eye colour, hair colour and skin tone.
