Today in Y6 we went on our slave trade and castle trip.
We started off with a walk down to Lancaster Maritime Museum where we met our guide, Paul. He showed us monuments and key areas of Lancaster that were linked to the slave trade. It was a very eye opening experience.
We then walked up the castle where we had some lunch. Afterwards, to burn off a little bit of energy we walked to Vicarage field for a run around.
We then made our way back up to the castle and met our guide who took us around the courts, the cells and told us all about the local history of Lancaster Castle.
It was a brilliant and educational day!
