Class of 2026

This week we heard the story Jesus told about the lost sheep. The children hid their sheep pictures around Nursery and I was like the shepherd looking everywhere. I kept looking until they were all found. 

On World book day our friends from Y3 came to take us on a book character trail. They were surprised at how many books we recognised.

We have been making our own small worlds during continuous provision. We thought carefully about which animals could share a pen in our zoo.

In nursery we talk about how to keep our bodies healthy. The children talked about how to keep their teeth clean and showed us what to do. All of the children got a new toothbrush to take home.

We listened to the story of Noah. The children were very interested in the part about the rainbow. We used a handy table to make our loose parts rainbow. The children all talked about their favourite colours.

We have looked all around school for things that might not be safe. We are good at spotting dangers.

This half term we are finding out about heroes in the community and superheroes in stories. The children are enjoying pretending to be firefighters.

Today we remembered all people and animals killed or injured by war. We wanted to put our poppies outside but due to the bad weather we made an arch to walk under instead. 

We have been reading the story of Elmer and thinking about the wonderful things that make us unique and special.

After listening to the story of “Dogger” by Shirley Hughes we decided to find toys in Nursery that felt hard and soft. 

We have had a really bust first half term at Nursery. Come in and look at our learning journey before we take it down and start Autumn 2.
