Today we had a great time trying out crown green bowling with Coach Dan. It was lovely and sunny and we really enjoyed trying a different sport. It wasn’t always easy to hit the target but we showed great perseverance and determination (even in the heat!).

A mixture of Y4s, 5s and 6s had a great day out today at the Lancaster cricket tournament at Westgate and Torrisholme Cricket Club. Although we didn’t win the tournament, we learnt a lot and had a fantastic team spirit. And the sun shone all day long!

In science today we made careful observational drawings of plants, flowers and trees. We also took close up photographs. We were amazed at how much there was to see in our school gardens. We also realised how much we often don’t notice because we don’t look very closely!

Our new topic in DT is pneumatics (air power). We made paper rockets and propelled them forwards by blowing (really hard!) today. We have a competition to see whose was the most aerodynamic and effective!
