Class of 2014

Year 3 had a fabulous time at Leighton Moss.  We learnt a lot about soil as part of our science topic and also spent time learning more about the beautiful range of birds found in our local woodlands.

We have studied the architect and artist Hundertwasser. A group of us made these canvases in our own time. We created our own pictures in his style. 

After making our sandwiches we thought carefully about the quality of our sandwiches.  We tasted our own sandwich and at least two other sandwiches.  Some of them were delicious but others were not quite so tasty!

On Tuesday 15th May, we entered three teams of Year 3 and 4 children in the inter-schools netball tournament at Moorside School. We played really enthusiastically and with a great sporting attitude. On Tuesday, we sent two teams of Year 3s and 4s to an inter-schools tournament at Moorside School. Every child did their very best and had a great experience. We didn't win the tournament but could not have been beaten in enthusiasm and energy. We looked great in our brand new kits too!  Well done…

Year 3 just love the large apparatus in P.E.!  Here we are showing off our skills....

On Friday, year three went to the Museum for a Romans workshop.  Whilst there we met a Roman called Marcus who told us all about life as a Roman soldier.
