African Animal Art
We also made finger puppets this afternoon. Again we had to think carefully about the colours we used. We also had to cut out our animal templates including two very tricky inner circles for our fingers.

Playing outside
Outside we have different challenges and activities for the Nursery children. This week the children are strengthening their hand muscles. They are spraying the fires with water bottles. We are talking about amounts to five and looking at the numeral that represents each.

Fishes
Today two fish have come to Nursery. We are going to look after them whilst their owners are on holiday. We have talked about the rules we will need to keep them safe, linking it with our kind hands board. Each day we will choose a child from the kind hands board to feed the fish.

Making teen numbers!
We used different resources to make the teen numbers by looking at the ten and ones.

Year 4 French lesson

Gymnastics
This half term we are learning to be gymnasts. So far we have practised our jumping skills and here we are learning to travel in different ways. Can you tell which animal we are? You may have spotted we are moving sideways!!

Year 1 Dance
We enjoyed our 1st dance session with Miss Helen on our ‘ Superheroes’ topic. We enjoyed creating the different characters.

Printing
This afternoon, we started our printing topic in Art. We looked at artwork by William Morris, Richard Shimmel and Lisa Stubbs. We then used carbon paper to print pictures we had drawn onto our paper in repeating patterns.

Introducing Electricity
We have started our ‘Let’s Travel!’ topic in class and within that we are going to be learning all about electricity, circuits and conductors and switches. Our first lesson this week was talking about all the components that make up a simple circuit. The children all managed to make the bulb light…
