Today it was World Cup day. In reception we had lots of fun designing football shirts with our buddies. We also played some tennis, football, hockey and did some dancing. 

Today we read our new story in the forest area , We’re going on a Bear Hunt. We then decided to go on our own bear hunt. We went through the grass, forest, mud, river and some icy snow. We really enjoyed it and we described how each one felt as we walked through it. 

We had a lovely afternoon, we said goodbye to our butterflies and set the, free into the wild.  We have been able to watch each stage of their life cycle and set them free into their natural habitat . But they didn’t want to leave us, they landed on our hands.

We went outside and used natural resources to make our own flower pictures. We got creative and made lots of different variety of flowers, 

Today we had a special delivery arrive, some magic beans with a letter from Jack. He told us what plants need to help them grow. We have planted them and we can’t wait to watch them grow. 

Our caterpillars have arrived and we are so excited to watch them grow and the life cycle come to life.

Yesterday we had lots of grown ups come and join us for our reading cafe. We heard lots of different stories and really enjoyed ourselves, thank you for joining us. 

What a fun day we have had! We read lots of new books in our new reading area, completed a quiz with Y4 and they also read some stories to us and drew a positive/happy Dragon by following ‘Draw with Rob’, we made happy scales and we also spoke about what makes us…

We have been making our own small worlds during continuous provision. We thought carefully about which animals could share a pen in our zoo.

This week we have been looking at our 2D shapes, we then used our cutting and sticking skills and made our own shape dinosaurs. Whilst making these we were talking about the shapes we chose to use. 

Today nurse Elle visited us. She spoke about hot to have healthy bodies and healthy minds. We also learnt how to use plasters, bandages and other equipment. 

Yesterday we had a Doctor visit us in Reception. He showed us lots of different equipment, how to use some of them and what they are used for. We even got to listen to each others heart beats.
