Senses-touch
Today we explored the sense of touch by guessing which object was in my bag. The children did very well describing the materials so our friends could guess.
Young Leaders Y6 and Y1
We enjoyed having the Year 6 using their leadership skills this morning. They were showing us some of the playtime games that we could play at break time.
Y1 Self Portraits
We used our sense of sight to look closely at our faces. We chose the correct colours and discussed the features of our faces.
Life Education Comes to Year 1
Thank you to Steve, who came in today, to speak to us about our bodies and keeping them healthy. We spoke about our body parts, healthy foods and how important sleep is too. Harold the giraffe needed our help with his feelings and we helped him.
Y1 Rock Kidz
Wow! We thoroughly enjoyed dancing and dressing up as rock stars today. We came back with the important message of ‘Don’t give up!’ And we certainly didn’t.
First Day of Year 1
We have had a wonderful day discovering the different areas of the classroom. We have made some classroom rules for the year and loved catching up with our friends.
Garden time.
Reception Class enjoyed time outside this afternoon. Working in teams, we went on a Woodland hunt. Trying hard to find all the natural things on our list.
Celebrating Chinese New Year
We had a lovely morning with our Nursery friends. We were celebrating Chinese New Year. We completed lots of Chinese New Year related activities.
Making playdough
We made playdough in Maths today. We used cups and tablespoons to measure our ingredients. We sieved, mixed and rolled our ingredients together.
Making healthy fruit kebabs
What a lot of fruit we had to share this afternoon! We made lovely healthy kebabs. The challenge was to try to make a repeating pattern with our favourite fruits.
