Busy morning in Y3!

A living timeline of Lancaster’s history
Year 6 ventured down to the field for our history lesson this morning. We wanted to create a timeline showing the development of the city of Lancaster, from its Roman origins to the twentieth century. Our timeline was far too long to fit into the classroom, but we had plenty of room on the field.…
Tasting Greek food
This afternoon, we had the opportunity to taste some Greek food. Even if we had never tried it before, some of us were brave enough to have a go….and actually quite liked it! We were very proud of ourselves for trying (and so was Mrs Mayor). We tasted Greek yoghurt, feta cheese, pitta bread,…

Year 3 Cave Art

Year 3 Being Archaeologists ( or…Investigating Rubbish!)

Exploring the Stone Age in Y3

Viking Longships
We explored the different features of a Viking longship before creating our own using paper and straws.
Anglo Saxon Protection
We finished the morning learning how the Anglo Saxons used spears to protect themselves.
Roman workshop
What fun we have had in Year 4 today. Marcus, a Roman soldier, visited and taught us all about the Roman Army. We had training to be a soldier and looked at lots of weapons and armour. We learnt lots of Latin words too. Have a look at the photos to see what we have been doing.
Ancient Egypt visits Year 3!

Our WW2 “SecretWar” experience
