Our new topic is all about things that grow. We are learning the rhyme “Mary, Mary, quite contrary.” We used natural materials to make a garden we would like to grow.

On Monday we had a lovely afternoon with our Year 5 buddies. Lambs came to visit us at school, we got to feed them some milk and learn all about them. 

Our first day in summer at the field! For our second lesson of athletics we walked down to the field to practice our long distance running, jumping and push throwing!

We had a visit from some lambs! We went to see them with our Buddies and had discussions about their first movements, their needs as living things and thought about the life cycle of sheep.

Today, we have started our unit on humans and animals. We drew round a child and then had a go at drawing the bones we have in our body. We were a little unsure to begin with but Cedric the Skeleton arrived to help us name some of the 206 bones in our body. We learnt lots of interesting facts…

We had a lovely morning with Nursery. We did some mindful yoga, positive affirmations, Easter cross making and some mindful painting. 

We go outside whatever the weather. This week we have been using sticks to make shapes.

This week we have listened to the Easter story. After looking at pictures of Easter gardens we made a cross using spring flowers.

On Monday NISCU joined us to share a Worship about opposites at Easter. Some of the children were chosen to act out the story and they did a great job.
